Sazani is an uninhabited island off the coast of Albania in the Mediterranean Sea. It is in a strategically vital area between the Strait of Otranto and the mouth of the Bay of Vlor, marking the border between the Adriatic and Ionian seas, and is a recognized military exclusion zone. The island's total size is 5.7 km2 (2.2 sq mi). It is 4.8 kilometers (3.0 miles) long and 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) wide, with a coastline of around 15 kilometers (9.3 mi).

The Karaburun-Sazan Sea Park was established in 2010 and covers 2,721.87 hectares (6,725.9 acres) of the island's surrounding marine region. Sazan can be seen from the coast of Salento, Italy, to the west in clear weather. The Sazani Island has been open to the public since July 2015.

The Albanian island of Franc Jozeph Island is located at the mouth of the Buna River. In 1870, Austrian cartographers gave the island the name. The name is thought to have been adopted in honor of Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I. The island is primarily up of excellent alluvial soil and, depending on the extent of the river's flow, it becomes a peninsula. Many seabirds, particularly those in the Ardeidae family, use this island as a breeding habitat.

The Franc Jozeph Island is low ground with a sandy shoreline and alder trees dominating the landscape. The trees are 75 years old and grow to be 16 meters tall (52 ft). The island attracts few international tourists and is known for its tranquility. Aside from Austrian baking, you'll discover calm and peace there, as well as opportunities for birdwatching and admiring the natural beauty.

The island of Zvernec is located in the Narta Lagoon in southern Albania. The island, which is nearly entirely covered in tall pine trees and is located just east of a much smaller island, is nearly completely covered with tall pine trees. It measures 430 meters long and 300 meters wide at its widest point. A 270-meter-long wooden bridge connects Zvrnec Island to the mainland.

With its pine-crowned crown and wooden stump bridge, the Island of Zvernec, like a rose in the heart of Narta lagoon, is one of the most visited today for three reasons: It's easy to get to from Vlora, has a monastery and a church to visit, and offers spectacular views of the Narta Lagoon, where you can watch birds and rest for a few hours. It's only around 1400 feet (430 meters) long and 980 feet (300 meters) wide, yet it's long enough to appreciate its natural beauty.

Shurdhahu Island is a small island in the Vau I Dejs Reservoir in northern Albania. It was formed when the Drin River Valley was flooded during the construction of the HPS. With a surface size of 7.5 hectares, it is the reservoir's largest island. It is estimated to be 390 meters long from the island's most northern point to its most southern tip (1,280 ft). In the summer, it can be reached by tourist boat from the Vau I Dejs dam or Rragam.

It is one of the most beautiful islands in Albania. The castle of the medieval town "Sarda," which, along with the castle of Gajtan, forms the castle of "Dalmacija," is located on this island. Until the end of the 15th century, Sarda was an important cultural center and a meeting point for the three main cultures of the northern region, Malesia, Mirdita, and Zadrima, which have resisted time and cultural currents borrowed from various invaders due to their distinct characteristics.

The remnants of an 11th-century medieval castle can be visited, which comprise two rings of defensive walls and towers (part of which are regrettably drowned in the lake), a Byzantine church, and other early medieval walls. The scene atop the sheer cliffs that rise from the lake is very stunning.

The Ksamil Islands is a group of four rocky islets off the coast of Southern Albania, close to the Ionian Sea. To the east of the islets is the settlement of Ksamil, after whom the islands are called. Furthermore, the islands are located inside the Butrint National Park's limits.

Along the Ionian Sea, the island is located to the extreme south of the Albanian Riviera. They are inaccessible by land and can only be reached by boat. The four islands have a total area of only 8.9 hectares. A small strip of sand connects the two outlying islands. In terms of geology, islands were sculpted into their current form over the Jurassic period, with water activity separating them from the mainland.

Certainly it is one of the most beautiful islands in Albania with a beautiful view of the turquoise ocean and little rocky islands with rich wild vegetation, it is awaiting you within a few minutes drive from Saranda. The Ksamil Islands can be reached by boat or canoe, or by swimming if you dare, as the distance from the beach is minimal.

Visit the island of Maligrad in the southeast of Albania, on the border with Northern Macedonia. It's in the middle of Lake Prespa, not far from the water's edge.

Tiles, columns, and capitals have been discovered on this island, which archaeologists believe belonged to a Paleo-Christian church that once stood in the upper section of the lake. The ruins of Tsar Simeon's 11th-century summer residence may be found above this island. St. Mary's Church is a historic structure that has acted as a spiritual focus for Albanian leaders. Spend a night camping on top of the island if you're brave enough. It is around 5 hectares in size.

The Island of Peace is a small island in Albania's northwestern Lake Koman. It can be located in one of the river valleys that go through the lake. The length of the Island of Peace is only 160 meters. The island is small and has a lot of trees on it.

Although it is Albania's smallest island, tour guides always mention it because of the history of its name. The Island of Peace is in the shape of an Albanian map, and there is a cross there that was set there at some point in the past as a statement of faith and humility to God, which the residents of the surrounding villages did not deny even throughout the communist era.
