Ahfad University for Women
Ahfad University for Women, founded in 1966, is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of Omdurman (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Khartoum. Ahfad University for Women (AUW), officially recognized by Sudan's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, is a medium-sized (6,000-6,999 students) women-only Sudanese higher education institution.
Ahfad University for Women (AUW) provides courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's and master's degrees in a variety of fields of study. This 54-year-old Sudanese higher-education institution has a selective admission policy that is based on students' previous academic records and grades. This Sudanese higher education organization is the least selective, with an admission rate of 80-90 percent. AUW also provides students with academic and non-academic facilities and services such as a library, housing, sports facilities, and administrative services.
