Sudan Academy of Sciences

Sudan Academy of Sciences, founded in 2004, is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of Khartoum's large metropolis (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). This university also has a campus in Omdeman. Sudan Academy of Sciences (SAS), officially recognized by Sudan's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, is a small (3,000-3,999 students) coeducational Sudanese higher education institution.

Sudan Academy of Sciences (SAS) provides courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as master's and doctorate degrees in a variety of fields of study. This 16-year-old Sudanese higher-education institution has a selective admission policy that is based on entrance examinations as well as students' previous academic records and grades. This Sudanese higher education organization is somewhat selective, with an admission rate of 70-80 percent. International students are encouraged to apply. SAS also offers a library, housing, financial aid and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning opportunities, and administrative services to students.
