University of Khartoum
The most famous university in Sudan is University of Khartoum. The University of Khartoum, founded in 1956, is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of Khartoum's large metropolis (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). This university also has a campus in Omdurman. The University of Khartoum, which is officially recognized by Sudan's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, is a large (15,000-19,999 students) coeducational Sudanese higher education institution.
The University of Khartoum offers courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in a variety of fields of study. The University of Khartoum also provides students with academic and non-academic facilities and services, such as a library and administrative services.
