Antarctica Desert
Top 1 in Top 10 Largest Deserts In The World
Antarctica is ranked at the top of the list of the world's largest deserts. It is also the coldest, and driest place in the world. Annual rainfall here is only 200 millimeters, mostly in the form of snow, and in coastal places. That number will decrease as we go deeper into the continent.
The area of this desert accounts for about 14,000,000 square kilometers. Despite the harsh climate and habitat, and the absence of a regular population, between 1,000 and 5,000 people come here every year to live and work.
This place didn't even get the sun for months. However, due to climate change and global warming, over the past 50 years, temperatures in the Antarctic desert have risen 2.5 times higher than in the previous day.
