Syrian Desert
Top 8 in Top 10 Largest Deserts In The World
The Syrian desert is also known as the Syrian Steppe. It is located in West Asia, covering parts of Iraq, Jordan, and Syria.
With an area of about 518,000 square kilometers, the Syrian desert is known as the "dead land". Despite its large area, it is extremely desolate and barren and is ranked as one of the driest deserts in the world.
Ecosystems in the region are also under terrible threats due to drought, fake herding, illegal hunting, and some man-made guarding activities. Even many of the creatures in this place have disappeared without a trace.
