Built in 1963 as a Peace Monument and easily reached by train from Tokyo, Fujiyoshida's Chureito Pagoda has a backdrop for one of the world's most amazing Mount Fuji.


Of course, Mt. Fuji is not always visible. However, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom or the leaves are turning autumn, the sight is truly breathtaking. Located in the heart of Arakurayama Sengen Park, the five-storied pagoda is ideally located. For the best view, climb the 400 steps just behind you.
