Kew Gardens
The famous tower of London's Kew Gardens was built during the height of the Chinoiserie craze in the 18th century and made a splash when it was completed in 1762. With a height of over 50 meters, many were convinced that it would fall.
Still standing after 255 years, these Georgian-era London artifacts continue to delight visitors. Kew Gardens is now restoring its 18th-century splendor, with the first ever painted after construction.
It is also planned to replace the four jerks that were lost in 1784. Rumor has it that they were whipped to pay off the prince regent's debt.
