Lake Biograd
Lake Biograd is a lake in Kolašin municipality, in northern Montenegro. It is a glacial lake, located on Bjelasica Mountain, within Biogradska Gora national park. This is one of the largest glacier lakes in the park, making it one of the best places for visitors to hang out and take in some fresh mountain air.
All shores of Lake Biograd are covered with natural forests. It is one of the must-visit locations for tourists since it is located 1094 meters above sea level, has crystal blue water that stretches for over 1100 meters, is 410 meters wide, and is approximately 4.5 meters deep. It is also the largest glacial lake in the national park. Hiking excursions through breathtaking scenery and the neighboring mountains, which mirror the lake's green hue, are definitely a visual feast.
Fish are incredibly plentiful there, especially trout. The best approach to get acquainted with this area is to stroll the 3 km-long walking track that circles the Lake in the spring and summer. Deer and hinds frequently go across the frozen Lake surface throughout the winter. Lake Biograd is rated one of the most beautiful lakes in Montenegro.
