Lake Black
Black lake is a lake in the Municipality of Žabljak in northern Montenegro. It is a glacial lake, located on Mount Durmitor, at an elevation of 1,416 m. Only 3km away from the center of Zabljak, Malo (Small) and Veliko (Big) Lakes merge into Crno (Black) Lake. The depth of the lake and the dense Durmitor pine forest surrounding it both contribute to the lake's distinctive midnight blue color, which frequently appears black.
The Black Lake in Montenegro, which is located in the Durmitor National Park, is only about 5 km long, but it contains so many photo opportunities and picnic areas that it requires a full day to fully appreciate all that this emerald-green lake, dense forests, and snow-capped mountains have to offer. Visitors can sit on benches positioned at regular intervals and take in the sounds of these birds singing, the sight of ducks congregating along the lake's edge, and cows munching on the tall grass. Those who value nature and its beauty will undoubtedly find satisfaction at Black Lake, one of the lakes in Montenegro.
Due to the variety of outdoor activities available in the summer, it's one of the greatest times to visit Black Lake. One of the most gorgeous times to observe the lake is in the autumn when the trees surrounding it explode with color. Many people love to spend the winter at Zabljak. Cross-country and downhill skiing, snowboarding, and winter trekking are all activities. The small village receives a lot of Russian tourists in the winter, and the revelry can go a little out of control. It is indeed a very beautiful lake in Montenegro.
