Lake Peshica
Peshica Lake is a high mountain lake situated in northeastern Montenegro's Ivangrad District at an altitude of 1.771m (5,810ft) above sea level. Another lake situated in Berane municipality's Biogradska Gora National Park is called Lake Peshica. Four mountain peaks, Crna Glava, Zekova Glava, Borova Glava, and Triglav, all rising to a height of 1838 meters above sea level, surround this lake, providing a breathtaking view of the clouds. Because of its stunning, Peshica is evaluated as one of the most beautiful lakes in Montenegro.
Bjelasica Mountain's access road to Peshica lake is entirely unpaved. It is known as Peia rupa. The road, which is located beneath Crna Glava's highest point, is typically impassable during the winter. Excellent trail for wheelers with expertise. If you're not comfortable driving on unpaved mountain roads, stay away from this location.
There are several legends involving this lake in Montenegro. A particularly lovely one tells the tale of a white flying horse that used to reside in the lake and would emerge each evening to float above it. Once you see the lake for yourself, with all those fluffy clouds and gentle wind whistles that are like a pair of wings, you won't find it all that difficult to believe in this mythology.
