Banias Waterfall offers one of the country's most exquisitely serene locations. The Banias spring, which is located in the Banias Nature Reserve in the Golan, comes from the foot of Mount Hermon, Israel's tallest mountain, and flows for about 3.5 kilometers down a gorge before arriving at Israel's greatest waterfall.
It is a waterfall created from a natural spring that rises on Mount Hermon, Israel's tallest mountain. In Israel, the Banias waterfall is reachable in 15 minutes of hiking through a thick forest reserve. The river Jordan is eventually joined by the cool spring water that is dangerously cascading into the gorge. A few harmless creatures and birds can be seen relaxing in the cool air created by the water in the vicinity, which is surrounded by caves and rocks. A few kilometers away, the Banias Nature Reserve offers views of old city ruins that are partially concealed by dense vegetation and tell stories of a brilliant past.
If you're lucky, you might come across flocks of rock doves or the rock hyrax, a small terrestrial mammal that resembles a guinea pig and shelters amid the cracks and fissures in rocks. Admission is around INR 500 per person.

The Saar Falls in the Golan Heights are both breathtakingly beautiful and conveniently located. The waterfalls, which are four kilometers from the Nimrod Fortress and are located immediately off Road 99, are best viewed in the winter or spring when Mount Hermon's water and snow are still making their way to the Sea of Galilee. Make sure to arrange your trip appropriately because the falls are reduced to a tiny puddle in the summer and fall.
The Sa'ar River flows through the Sa'ar Valley, fed by the rain and snow runoff from the mountains in the Upper Golan. The icy water thunders down the stony cascades of Sa'ar Falls. From the observation walk only a short distance from the parking, a trio of waterfalls can be observed, the middle one being the highest and most magnificent. Between the first and second falls, there is a gap of rushing water that is crossed by a wooden bridge. If you're searching for a quiet spot to have a picnic, head to either the banks before the falls or the grassy cliff edge that overlooks the falls after the falls. Both are peaceful and picturesque.

Tanur Waterfall has one of the most picturesque pathways in Galilee thanks to the Iyon Stream's strong winter flow, which forges four waterfalls.
The Tanur waterfall, which cascades from a 30-m high rock chimney, is the most well-known. Autumn brings sternbergia and lilies into bloom, and spring brings a profusion of vibrant wildflowers. The lengthier of the two paths in the reserve, which are both signposted, starts at the upper parking lot and travels downstream, taking about 90 minutes each way. The Tanur waterfall is on the 30-minute shorter circle path, which also features an overlook.
The best times to visit Tanur are on a pleasant winter day and in the spring when there are many blooms; if you go at any other time, be sure the waterfall has water before you go. The third waterfall in the Aiun river is the Tanur. It is advised to start in Metula and descend all the way to the Tanur and second waterfalls.
