The waterfall is 124.5 metres (408 feet) tall, making it the tallest waterfall on the Balkan Peninsula that is active all year. Kalofer, 11 kilometers distant, is the nearest settlement to the Raisko Praskalo waterfall. Parking is available within town, at the White River Eco Path entry, or at the Kalofer Bungalows, depending on which trail you pick. At 7:00 a.m., a train departs from Sofia Central Railway Station for Kalofer. The "rapid" train takes roughly 3 hours, therefore this is the greatest public transportation alternative. Bring waterproof hiking boots, gaiters, crampons, and an ice axe if you want to do this between October and May, as the second portion of the path is covered in snow and few people go out at that time of year.

  7. Everyone can agree that summer in the city isn't the most pleasant experience, especially if you're looking for full leisure and fresh air. Fortunately, Sofia has both man-made and natural beauty. The citizens of Bulgaria's capital city are fortunate to live near the scenic Vitosha mountain. The Boyana waterfall is one of Vitosha Mountain's jewels, attracting a large number of hikers each year. The Boyana waterfall is just around 10 kilometers from the National Palace of Culture in a straight line, although novice hikers may struggle if they don't bring food.

The path to the Boyana waterfall is well-marked, but you should attempt to get lost. In addition, if you are hungry, there are various huts ready to give hikers basic yet tasty meals. "Esperanto" is the name of the nearest cottage to the waterfall. The Boyana waterfall is open all year, although due to the steep hills that must be climbed to reach the destination, it is best visited in the summer. In addition, the river and waterfall are not as beautiful in the winter as they are in the spring and summer. The Boyana waterfall is 25 meters high and concealed amid a dense forest that throws a long shadow.
