Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Founded in 1922, the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) did not receive its current name until 1997, when it was officially recognized as a university. Tanjong Malim is located about 70 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur. Tanjong Malim is a town in Perak, Malaysia, that offers both urban and natural attractions for students to enjoy in their spare time. At the Strata Waterfalls, popular activities include hiking, river trekking, and water rafting.
The university currently has two campuses: the main Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah campus in Tanjong Malim and the Sultan Azlan Shah campus in Proton City. Both campuses have a diverse international student and faculty population from around the world, including Bangladesh, Nigeria, Thailand, and Somalia.
Languages and communications, music and performing arts, management and economics, human sciences, science and mathematics, sport sciences and coaching, arts computing and industry creative, human development, and technical and vocational are the nine faculties at the university. The university also has a postgraduate institute for students who have completed their undergraduate degree and want to continue their studies.
