Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka

Malaysia's first technical public university, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, was founded in 2000.It is located in Melaka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the campus is similarly regarded. It is set on 766 acres of lush green landscapes and has state-of-the-art modern facilities as well as some classic Malay architecture. There are two campuses, one in Durian at Hang Tuah Jaya and one in Melaka at Tunggal. Its technical strengths are in engineering, information technology, and management technology. Green technology, systems engineering, human-technology interaction, and emerging technology are among its research specialties.

Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka has seven faculties: electrical engineering, electronics and computer engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, information and communication technology, technology management and technopreneurship, electrical and electronic engineering technology, mechanical and manufacturing engineering technology, and mechanical and manufacturing engineering technology. There is also a language and human development center, as well as an Institute of Technology Management and Entrepreneurship.

The university has approximately 11,400 undergraduate students and 1,300 postgraduate students. Multiple lecture halls, high-tech laboratories such as the robotic and automation lab and the high voltage lab, as well as a state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing center, are available for student learning. There is also a 4,000-seat mosque, the Laman Hikmah Library, which serves as a social hub as well as a repository for over 115,000 titles, an outdoor sports complex, an indoor sports hall, a health center, a cafeteria, and housing for over 7,000 students.
