  1. Brian Benjamin, a Grenadian star chef, proudly owns and operates this award-winning, authentic Caribbean restaurant.

Brian credits his grandmother with having the greatest effect on the food he prepares, so if you're looking for some truly authentic home-style cooking, this is the place to go.

The menu pays homage to Grenada's exotic, tropical climate, which is crucial to the island's abundant food. As a result, you'll find a wide variety of starchy vegetables (yams, sweet potato, cassava, plantains), fresh vegetables such as callaloo, christophene, and okra, as well as exotic fruits such as papayas, green mangoes, guavas, and ugli fruit.

Aside from delicious homemade cuisine, BB's has a quiet and welcoming atmosphere, as well as stunning views of the sea and harbour and a no-frills dress code. Don't forget to try BB's Crabback, the restaurant's namesake, which is offered on the appetisers menu. Fresh crab meat in a crab shell, seasoned and baked with exotic herbs in a cheese and wine sauce. Remember to sign your name on the walls or ceiling before you depart!

  2. This pleasant beach bar is the ideal spot for an ice-cold drink, laid-back lunch, or casual supper, thanks to its exceptional location on the beautiful white sands of Grand Anse Beach. Umbrellas is a popular hangout for locals, visitors, and students at St George's University, and it can get rather crowded.

Fresh and trendy interiors may be found inside Umbrellas Beach Bar. The majority of the beachfront seating is sheltered by trees and has spectacular views of the glistening sea. Request a table upstairs for the greatest views in the house. Umbrellas has fewer local cuisine options than some other establishments, but if you're craving a burger, sandwich, or salad, this is the place to go.

A elegant two-story wooden structure with tables on the upper deck and within, just back from the sand. It's perfect for a refreshing cocktail, a cold beer, or a delectable meal. The vast burger menu is balanced out with a variety of salads. On weekends, take a walk down the beach in the evening before stopping here for live music and a refreshing drink.

  3. From the outside, this roadside diner may not appear to be much, but never judge a book by its cover. You'll be greeted with a cheerful smile and prompt service as soon as you enter. Andy's dishes customers affordable, big amounts of authentic Grenadian cuisine, so it's easy to see why it's so popular among the locals. It serves a range of traditional foods and snacks, including excellent rotis, but the 'waters' are the primary attraction (soups). There are always at least five distinct sorts available; choose your favorite; they're all wonderful.

Andy's serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but the best selection is available during lunchtime, when a locally sourced special is available every day. Try the beef roti and oil down (a flavorful one-pot stew created with ingredients including callaloo, breadfruit, chicken, pimento peppers, coconut milk, and turmeric), Grenada's national cuisine. If you still have room for dessert, try the nutmeg ice cream made locally. If you're feeling daring, try the'mannish water,' a goat soup considered to be a powerful aphrodisiac. It also serves vegetarian cuisine as well as delicious drinks produced from locally grown fruits.

If you want to work up an appetite, you can hike up the hill from Grand Anse to get here. Andy's is also served by the local bus system, and there is enough on-street parking outside.

  4. Both of these restaurants are located within the magnificent Calabash hotel. Both are open to non-residents, with the exception of the Beach Club sun loungers, which are solely available to Calabash hotel guests. The Beach Club has a 'elegantly casual' dress code, which means no wet swimwear or sleeveless shirts for men, and bathing suits must be covered up.

The Beach Club, which is located on the dazzling white sands of L'anse Aux Epines Beach, is a lovely setting for a high-end, leisurely lunch – and the location also makes it a great place to people-watch. The meal pays attention to Grenada's natural ingredients and flavors. If you can't decide what to eat, choose Caribbean tapas or a grazing platter. Prices are a tad more here, as you'd expect, but they're still reasonable when you consider the excellent service, creative food menu, spectacular views, and pleasant ambiance.

Rhodes Restaurant, which was previously owned and run by the late Gary Rhodes, offers great meals, impeccable service, and a refined atmosphere. The restaurant has a formal dress requirement and is available for dinner from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm every day. The lovely Piano Lounge welcomes guests to have refreshments before or after their meal. Rhodes Restaurant is a popular choice for locals celebrating a special event, which says volumes about the restaurant's quality.

With harbour views from the artistically landscaped patio and soft entertainment from local musicians, the environment is lovely and wonderful. With lobster and daily rotating seafood specials, the cuisine is diverse and inventive.

  5. Grenada's original tapas restaurant, which Patrick Levine started roughly 30 years ago, was taken over by Patrick's childhood friend in 2010.

The restaurant's basic façade, housed in a grey and white wooden building, depicts a traditional Grenadian household. It's conveniently located just over the road from Port Louis Marina, with on-street parking and a free parking lot nearby. You can also take bus route #1, which stops just in front of the building.

Patrick's is proud of its no-frills approach, serving about 15 to 20 local, homestyle Grenada specialties like as oil down, lambie (conch), stuffed peppers, crabs, and curried mutton.

There is also a large vegan menu, which includes the fruity 'lovely' cream. Patrick's offers a classic island dining experience and personal service, with live music entertainment on select nights.

  6. This elegant yet laid-back independent restaurant, located immediately on Magazine Beach, with some of the best ocean views on the island.

From local business professionals to families in their beachwear, you'll see a mix of folks basking in the cooling seaside wind here. By day, the La Sirena beach bar at the Aquarium is the perfect spot for a refreshing cocktail or ice-cold rum punch in the shade of the palm palms.

Many people prefer to make a day of their visit to the Aquarium by renting sun loungers, snorkeling equipment, and boats. By night, the light-filled dining room, which is accented by seawater tanks, transforms into a romantic setting for a memorable lunch with your loved one.

The menu features a variety of elegantly presented meat and fish dishes, with the Aquarium Medley featuring lobster, big shrimp, scallops, and fish being a must-try for seafood aficionados. Finish the evening with tropical cocktails at the beach bar under the stars. The venue organizes a weekly beach BBQ on Sundays, with music provided by the resident DJ and local bands.

  7. Seafood lovers rejoice: while the Fish Fry isn't really a restaurant, it's a must-see event for any foodie visiting Grenada. It takes place every Friday evening in Gouyave, the island's bustling seaside town and fishing (and party!) hub.

Gouyave is Grenada's fishing capital, which is commemorated each Friday with a festive fish fry. Fresh fish is grilled and fried immediately off the boat by local merchants, who serve it with local sides. It's as much of a party as it is a meal, with most locals staying for a few drinks long after their meal is over.

It's right behind the gas station on St Francis and St Dominic Street in the heart of town. From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., come to this exciting open-air festival to mix with the locals, listen to steel bands, and eat grilled and fried fresh fish direct from the boat.

Shrimp, fish cakes, jerked marlin, massive lobsters, snapper, and conch served with delectable traditional side dishes. The official conclusion time is 11:00 p.m., although the festivities in Gouyave frequently last much longer.

It's across the street from the petrol station in the heart of town.

  8. Request a seat near the window to enjoy the greatest views and a cooling breeze at this laid-back neighborhood business with fantastic views of the colorful Carenage and bay. There are high steps to the seating area, and there is no lift; if this is a concern, there is a takeaway counter downstairs.

Alternatively, you can have your dinner to be delivered to the harbour and enjoyed there. Exotic Grenadian cuisine is served with conventional world favorites like burgers and club sandwiches on the menu. The meal of Nutmeg Bar and Restaurant is fairly priced and prepared to order; the rotis, in particular, are big and delicious. This is a beautiful spot to stop for lunch or dinner after a busy few hours seeing St George's. Simple furnishings, courteous service, and fantastic views make this a lovely place to stop for lunch or dinner after a busy few hours exploring St George's.

  9. Traditional Indian meals produced with locally sourced spices, as well as modern adaptations of Grenadian foods made with rich, authentic Indian spices, are enjoyed by diners at Indian-fusion restaurant Spice Affair.

Choose from both outdoor and indoor seats — many visitors are relieved to discover an island restaurant with walls, a roof, and air conditioning! All guests, including couples, groups of friends, and families, receive warm and personal attention.

Try the butter chicken and naan bread in Spice Affair by Red Crab, then finish with the Mango Mango dessert. The restaurant is always glad to make dining arrangements for our guests at Inspiring Travel Company.

  10. Green Roof Inn is a tiny hotel on the island of Carriacou, 20 minutes off the coast of Grenada, positioned 50 meters from the sea. Five gorgeous guestrooms with ocean views, two private cottages situated in the lush beautiful garden, and an upstairs restaurant with magnificent sunsets and panoramic ocean views are all available at the Inn.

With seating on a balcony overlooking the sea and exquisite food to match the vista, this is the most upscale option in the Hillsborough area. The menu fluctuates depending on what's fresh and available: you might find fresh fish, steak, or lobster if you're lucky, but everything is presented elegantly. Make a reservation in advance, since the small dining space fills up quickly.

Green Roof Inn is a laid-back location with refined food; the owners have children and are happy to accommodate them. Hillsborough is half a mile up the road.
