    Tatami

The Tatami Restaurant is in Kuwait's "downtown" commercial zone. The design idea was created by combining the "Japanese tatami mats" way of planning with the city's industrial environment. As a result, the 2:1 ratio was preserved as a guiding design idea for the seating spaces, wall cladding, lighting distribution, and circulation. The sushi bar was put on the other side of the facade, and the kitchen was located behind it, in order to maximize the use of the building's main face for restaurant seating while removing any distracting components.

Tatami, a Japanese restaurant tucked away in a skyscraper park just outside of the city center, manages to draw customers despite its location. Sushi, sashimi, tempura, and other inventive Japanese dishes are available on the menu, all of which are presented in an attractive and artistic manner. The ingredients are constantly fresh, and there is a wide variety to choose from. The chef is a young, well-known Kuwaiti woman who manages to take a break from her cooking to personally check on each table. Make a reservation for a slice of the much-desired green tea cheesecake when you arrive.

    Kei Restaurant

Kei Restaurant contains aspects such as a sushi bar, teppanyaki grill counter, and a la carte dining with time-honored favorites such as a selection of contemporary sushi and modern preparations, bringing real Japanese flavors to the table. It first opened its doors in Kuwait in 1981 and has been providing high-quality genuine food ever since. It is open every day from 12 pm to 11 pm and is located at the JW Marriott hotel.

In Kei Restaurant, the sphere of chestnut ice cream with yuzu pearls and chestnut cream was the primary dish, which was coated in a crisp meringue covering. This reminded me of a traditional Mont Blanc dessert. It was a fantastic meal, with the citrus' sharpness contrasting beautifully with the chestnut, the crisp exterior and soft center providing an effective contrast, the chestnut flavor profound, and the filling texture velvety.

Then there came the Scottish blue lobster claw on Kadaif noodles with gribiche, a famous sauce made of emulsified egg yolks and mustard, and more caviar. The lobster was very soft, and the gribiche's moderate bite provided a nice foil for the seafood, while the caviar added a nutty, briny richness to the meal. This was a deceptively basic meal that was expertly done.
