  1. Yemen's University of Science and Technology (Yemen's USTY) is a for-profit private institution. The institution is governed by an independent Board of Trustees and provides bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs.


    The University of Science and Technology was founded in 1994. It is a private higher education institution based in Sana'a, with branches in Aden, Taiz, Ibb, Hadhramaut, and Hodiedah. It was founded in 1994. University of Science and Technology (USTY) is a coeducational higher education institution that was formally approved by Yemen's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The University of Science and Technology (USTY) provides courses and programs that lead to legally recognized higher education degrees, including as bachelor's degrees, in a variety of fields.


    In a competition conducted by Engineering World Health on August 8, 2013, USTY engineering students received sixth place out of 10 projects for their invention of a low-cost leakage current tester. Later, two more engineering students received the "Babakr" organization's prize for exceptional innovations in Yemen: Hussan Yousif Al-"Device Hitari's for the Quality of Intensive Care Ventilator Devices," and Omar Shami, Tawfiq Al-Bakri, Murad Soubaih, and Hasan Amron's "Fetal Duopler."

  2. Sana'a University was founded in 1970 as the first and most important university in the Yemen Arab Republic (North Yemen), which is now known as the Republic of Yemen (see also Aden University). It is now organized with 17 faculties and is located in Sanaa, Yemen's capital. The institution has various buildings for employees and students to stay in, as well as a partnership with Kuwait University Hospital for medical students.


    Sana'a University had two faculties when it originally opened: the Faculty of Sharia and Law and the Faculty of Education, which includes the Colleges of Arts, Sciences, and Education. These disciplines were evolved into three new faculties in 1974: Arts, Science, and Education. The Department of Sharia and Law commemorated the establishment of the Business Department, which eventually became a distinct faculty. The institution had grown to five faculties at that time, and it continued to expand until it covered all of the other disciplines. Sanaa University has twenty faculty as of 2005, with 12 on the main campus and eight others spread around the country.

  4. The University of Aden was the second Yemeni institution to be formed in the Republic of Yemen, following Sana'a College, which was founded in the same year. The University of Aden began with the establishment of the College of Education in 1970 and Nasser's College for Agricultural Sciences in 1972. The Minister of Education had jurisdiction and responsibility over the two colleges. The College of Economics was established in 1974, and it has since evolved to include numerous colleges such as the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Administration, and so on.


    The University of Aden began with the establishment of the College of Education in 1970 and Nasser's College for Agricultural Sciences in 1972.   5. Hadhramout University, founded in 1996, is a non-profit public higher education institution in Mukalla (Hadhramaut's population range). Almahra Soctra and Sayun are two additional locations where this institution has branches. Hadhramout University is a big university with an enrolment range of 10,000- 14,999 students. It was formally approved by Yemen's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.


    The institution has endeavored to stay up with new innovations in the field of quality since its founding. The Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center was founded in 2011 with the goal of improving faculty members' capacities in many domains connected to teaching and research through seminars and training courses. Over the last five years, the center has offered 101 training courses for about 3535 faculty members and their helpers, with each member attending an average of 6 training courses and the center hosting 26 workshops.

    The university is a functioning member of the Federation of Arab Universities and the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World, and its President was elected to the Federation's Executive Office during the Federation Conference's fiftieth session.

  6. Queen Arwa University is a Yemeni private university named after Queen Arwa and created in 1996. Humanities and social sciences, commercial sciences and administration, engineering, science, higher education, art, law, and microbiology are among the university's several subjects of study.


    In January 1996, Queen Arwa University was founded. The Ministry of Education and the Council of Higher Education Resolution No.1 recognized it. With the foundation of the Yemeni International Languages Institute in 1989, the first license was gained. The International Yemeni Institute for Development was founded in 1994 by the institute. The College of Technical Sciences, the university's first college, was founded in 1995.

  7. Taiz University is a non-profit public higher-education school based in the midsize city of Taiz, which was founded in 1993. (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants).   8. The earliest nucleus of the university was the College of Education in Hodeidah, which was created in 1987/1988 and was associated with Sana'a University at the time. It is a member of the Association of Arab Universities. Its mission is to prepare qualified, well-trained cadres who will contribute to the growth of numerous sectors. The university began with a small faculty, but as it grew in prominence, it was able to satisfy the needs of society by expanding quality colleges and unusual specialities.
