On toast
Make this quick and easy breakfast with a few basic ingredients. Avocados can be used in place of common spreads like butter and margarine. Additionally, adding avocado purée as a spread on toast and sandwiches to your meal can increase its vitamin and mineral content.
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe avocado
- Salt and pepper
- 2 slices of sourdough bread
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
Instruction:
- In a small bowl, mash the avocado with a fork until it is chunky.
- Add black pepper and fine salt for seasoning.
- The bread should be crisp and browned. Rub each slice's cut side lightly with the cut side of the garlic until fragrant; then, throw the garlic out.
- Season the toasts with fine salt and pepper and a light coating of oil.
- On top of the toasts, spread the mashed avocado evenly and add additional flaky sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, if preferred.
