Salahaddin University-Erbil
Salahaddin University-Erbil, founded in 1968, is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of Erbil (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Kurdistan. Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUH) is a large (enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational Iraqi higher education institution that is officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUH) provides courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorate degrees in a variety of fields of study. This 52-year-old Iraqi higher-education institution has a selective admission policy that is based on entrance examinations as well as students' previous academic records and grades. The admission rate for this Iraqi higher education organization is 50-60%, making it a mediumly selective institution.
