University of Tikrit
The University of Tikrit, founded in 1987, is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of Tikrit's medium city of Saladin (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants). This university also has a campus in Samraa. The University of Tikrit (TU), which is officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq, is a small (enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational Iraqi higher education institution.
The University of Tikrit (TU) provides courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorate degrees in a variety of fields of study. This Iraqi higher-education institution, which is 33 years old, has a selective admission policy based on students' previous academic records and grades. This Iraqi higher education organization is the least selective, with an admission rate of 80-90 percent. International applicants are welcome to apply. TU also offers a variety of academic and non-academic facilities and services to students, such as a library, housing, athletic facilities, financial aid and/or scholarships, and administrative services.
