University of Kufa
The University of Kufa, founded in 1987, is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of Kufa (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Najaf. The University of Kufa (UoK), which is officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq, is a large (enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational Iraqi higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion.
The University of Kufa (UoK) provides courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's and doctorate degrees in a variety of fields of study. This Iraqi higher-education institution, which is 33 years old, has a selective admission policy based on students' previous academic records and grades. This Iraqi higher education organization is moderately selective, with an admission rate of 40-50 percent. International applicants are welcome to apply. Students can also take advantage of a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aid and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, and administrative services at the University of Kent.
