The University of Mustansiriyah

The University of Mustansiriyah, founded in 1963, is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of Baghdad's large metropolis (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). The University of Mustansiriyah is a medium-sized (enrollment range: 6,000-6,999 students) coeducational Iraqi higher education institution that is officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research of Iraq.

The University of Mustansiriyah provides courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees in a variety of fields of study. This 57-year-old Iraqi higher-education institution has a selective admission policy that is based on students' previous academic records and grades. This Iraqi higher education organization is the least selective, with an admission rate of 80-90 percent. Students can also take advantage of a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aid and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, and administrative services at the University of Mustansiriyah.
