University of Mosul
The University of Mosul, founded in 1967, is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of Mosul (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Nineveh. The University of Mosul (UoM), which is officially recognized by Iraq's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, is a large (enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational Iraqi higher education institution.
The University of Mosul (UoM) provides courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees in a variety of fields of study. This Iraqi higher-education institution, which has been in operation for 53 years, has a selective admission policy based on students' previous academic records and grades. International students are encouraged to apply. Students can also take advantage of a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aid and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning opportunities, and administrative services at the University of Michigan.
