Barracuda
Barracuda, an expensive seafood restaurant, was a favorite of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas when they lived on the island, with darkly lit booths excellent for canoodling. This is where you can have a private talk without being overheard by the table next to you, which is perhaps why island power brokers flock to the dining room for lunch. The Bermuda fish chowder, as well as the rockfish marinated in Goslings rum and soy, then grilled and served with garlicky local greens, are among the best on the island.
Barracuda makes fantastic fruity martinis, which many locals like, but if you're looking for a pre-dinner drink, go for a classic at your table because the little bar fills up quickly. When your Hendrick's martini with olives is gone, peruse the wine list, which is brimming with seafood-friendly selections for every palate and budget.
The majority of visitors come to Barracuda for the fish, which makes sense given the abundance of local produce accessible to chef Derek Myers. The sous vide octopus appetizer with kalamata olives and seared haloumi, for example, is consistently fantastic even when it's flown in. The Bermuda fish chowder, as well as the rockfish marinated in Goslings rum and soy, then grilled and served with garlicky local greens, are among the best on the island.
