Bermuda's most popular restaurant, Blu Bar & Grill, goes all out with its characteristic color: Just beyond the hostess stand, a large starfish hangs on a bright-blue wall; cerulean chairs rest on a navy carpet; and, off in the distance, a wall of windows all facing the Great Sound and Hamilton Harbour—blissfully azure waters as far as the eye can see. Crisp white linens and white high-back chairs adorn the main dining area, while warm wooden walls surround the black granite bar, which is, of course, the perfect place to start the evening.

With various large-format options and limited-availability selections, Blu Bar & Grill 's wine list is one of the most extensive on the island. If you'd rather try other things with your dinner, don't overlook the by-the-glass menu, which includes numerous terrific alternatives.

Blu Bar & Grill's sushi, nigiri, and sashimi; Asian fusion meals; a raw bar; classic osetra caviar; traditional Italian pastas; locally caught fish; hefty cuts of beef; and—gasp—pizza on Blu's everything-but-the-kitchen-sink menu. Most traditionalists might shun this place because of the mishmash of cuisines, but it all works.
