Sul Verde

Sul Verde, Rosewood Bermuda's southern Italian trattoria, offers two menu options: à la carte and Dinner With La Nonna, a three-course, family-style dinner customized to your tastes ($60 per person). If you choose the latter, the servers will bring you sharing appetizers (such as antipasto and fried calamari), bowls of homemade pasta (such as penne Bolognese), meat and seafood platters (such as veal marsala), and a classic Italian dessert (like tiramisu or panna cotta). It's actually a fairly decent price, since Sul Verde's meatiest entrées cost approximately $40 a plate—and you'll get to experience a lot of what makes this place so excellent.

At Sul Verde, you can begin with a Negronina, a lightened-up Negroni made with Aperol, Hendrick's, and Martini Bianco. Do you prefer something a little sweeter? With Disaronno Amaretto, apricot brandy, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white, order an Albicocca amaretto sour. Then, if you're willing to spend approximately $160 on a bottle of red, go for a deep-fruited Barolo or Amarone, although there are plenty of reasonably priced Italian varietals on the list (such a $75 Sicilian Nero d'Avola).
