Top o in Top 15 Best Restaurants In Bermuda
Marcus Samuelsson's passion for soul food has been well chronicled, especially since the successful opening of his Red Rooster restaurant in New York City in 2010. You may try some of the chef's famous dishes at Marcus', such as fried chicken and waffles with roasted garlic-spiced honey or the delicious Obama short ribs, which are named after the former President, who enjoys them. Everything else has an island twist, such as the seafood paella and the fish wrapped in a banana leaf and served with a coconut curry sauce.
Marcus' serves fantastic cocktails, so whether you have dinner reservations or not, head straight to the bar. Most visitors will stay longer because of the superb rums on offer—try the limited-edition Gosling's Papa Seal, which has been aged for 15 years in bourbon barrels—as well as the trademark drinks, many of which employ house-made ingredients.
The seafood paella or the fish wrapped in a banana leaf and served with a coconut curry sauce are also excellent choices. The fish chowder bites, which are miniature seafood fritters paired with an aioli prepared with Gosling's Black Seal rum, are excellent appetizers. Don't forget about the Sunday brunch, which includes more than just eggs Benedict and Bloody Marys. For $94, you'll get an endless glass of Veuve Clicquot and access to a huge buffet of curry oxtail, rice and peas, jerked shrimp, fried chicken, and waffles, among other delicacies.
