It has 5 branches in the city of Lima, located in the districts of Ate, Los Olivos, Lima Centro, San Juan de Lurigancho and Villa El Salvador. It was named after Cayetano Heredia, a prominent Peruvian physician of the nineteenth century.   8. Universidad del Pacifico (UP) is a private university in Lima, Peru's Jesús María District. It was founded in 1962 by a group of Peruvian entrepreneurs with the support of the Society of Jesus. It is ranked as the most prestigious higher education institution in Peru in its fields of specialization (particularly economics), as well as one of the leading institutions of its kind in Latin America, and it is the first Peruvian university to be AACSB accredited in both undergraduate and graduate degree programs. It is also AMBA certified.


    Business Management and Economics are two of the University's specializations. Universidad del Pacifico began by offering bachelor's degrees in Economics, Business Administration, and Accounting at the undergraduate level. It was the first university in Peru to offer a management Engineering degree in 2008. Law was added to its degree programs the following year. In 2011, two new departments, International Business and Marketing, were established. It offers a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Finance, and a Master of Economics at the graduate level.   9. The University of Lima (Spanish: Universidad de Lima) is a private, non-profit university in Lima, Peru. It was founded in 1962 and is regarded as one of Peru's most prestigious and well-known universities. The decision to establish the University of Lima was made in the early 1960s by a group of university professors, along with representatives from commerce and industry, who formed the Civil Association PRODIES (Promotion of Industrial Development through Higher Education).   10. The University of San Martín de Porres (USMP) is a private, non-profit institution in Lima, Peru. The Dominican Order of the Catholic Church founded the university in 1962, and it is now one of the top five institutions in the country.


    Its headquarters are on the Santa Anita campus, which also houses the faculties of administrative sciences and human resources, accounting, economic and financial sciences, and dentistry. The faculty of human medicine, the faculty of engineering and architecture, and the faculty of law are all located in the La Molina district. During a meeting with professors from the University of Navarra in Spain in 1964, Josemaría Escrivá, founder of Opus Dei, decided to establish a new university.     • The National University of Trujillo, also known as Universidad Nacional de Trujillo (UNT) is a major public university in Trujillo, Peru, which serves as the capital of the department of La Libertad. Simón Bolívar and José Faustino Sánchez Carrión met in Huamachuco and signed the founding decree on May 10, 1824, before Peru gained independence from Spain. The National University of Trujillo was Peru's first republican university.


      The National University of Trujillo (UNT) is a Peruvian university located in Trujillo, La Libertad Region in northern Peru. It was founded during the Republican era by General Simón Bolívar, who issued a decree establishing the university from his headquarters in Huamachuco on May 10, 1824, with Don José Faustino Sánchez Carrión as secretary. Don Carlos Pedemonte y Talavera was the first director, and his term began on October 22, 1831. The Government appointed St. Thomas and St. Rose of Lima as supreme patron of the University on November 23, 1831.
