Big Rock Falls is a hidden gem on the Privassion River in the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve in the Cayo District. Big Rock Falls is a gorgeous 150-foot waterfall on the Privassion River and is among the largest falls in Belize. It is surrounded by lush greenery and drops into a small pool at its base, which flows over large rocks into a bigger cenote. Due to the rock over which the falls flow, the water is tapered into a V-shape, giving the falls a truly unique look. Though the surrounding rocks may look climbable, be careful; they can be slippery. The pool below is easily accessible and a great place for a family swim and picnic.

Although the waterfall is a great place to swim or catch some rays, it is rarely crowded, so there is a good chance you will have it to yourself. The waterfall is easily accessible along a well-maintained trail that snakes into the valley and down wooden stairs to the foot of the falls. To escape the tropical heat, jump into the cool water. Alternatively, locate a location close to the rocky cliffs and let the waterfall pound your back the way nature intended.

Antelope Falls is situated in Mayflower Bocawina State Park, the easternmost point of the Maya Mountains, in the southern part of Stann Creek. The park offers guided hikes to Mayan sites, zip-lining, and bird-watching excursions.

Davis Falls, Belize's second-tallest waterfall, is tucked away in the hills off the Hummingbird Highway close to the town of Dangriga. It has a 500-foot cascade that plunges into a deep natural pool and is surrounded by pristine jungle. Amazing beaches, historic ruins, and a variety of other tourist destinations are all nearby Davis Falls. Even though the journey there is challenging and involves seven river crossings in a four-wheel drive vehicle (or a challenging half-day hike), you'll essentially have the cascade to yourself. You won't regret spending the day lounging, so pack a lunch and your swimsuit.

The water travels via the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, often known as the "cave beneath the ground," after leaving the tunnel. This waterfall gets its water from the Phewa Lake dam. Due to its intricate decorations and the fact that many people get lost inside, the cave also serves as a popular tourist destination.

Both residents and tourists find it to be interesting. Numerous Nepalis come here for fun and recreation. By tossing a coin into the luck pond that has been built there and placing it on the statue of God, visitors can test their luck. In addition, there are statues of Nepalis wearing traditional clothing and a model of a typical traditional Nepali house where visitors can take pictures.

The Thousand-Foot Falls, also known as "Hidden Valley Falls," are much taller than their name would imply. They cascade approximately 1,600 feet. According to estimates, it is Central America's tallest waterfall. Because of its extreme height, it can be seen from a distance, especially when traveling through the valley below.

The views of the falls are breathtaking, but most people can only get a close-up look because they are situated ten kilometers off Chiquibul Road in the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. The roadside signage makes it simple to see the turnoff to the viewpoint. After leaving the highway, the road continues for another 6.5 kilometers to a lookout and picnic spot from which you may see the falls from the opposite side of the gorge during misty breaks.

It will take several hours to descend and then return from the foot of the falls if you want to get a closer look, so be prepared to put in the time for a lengthy and relatively strenuous ascent through the park. The view here is magical.

The Mayflower Bocawina National Park has Bocawina Falls. Actually, this national park has three waterfalls (Bocawina Falls, Three Sisters Falls, and Antelope Falls). In addition to this magnificent waterfall, Bocawina is also the location of a staggering variety of bird species, Mayan ruins, and what is allegedly the longest zip line in the entire nation. The falls are stunning and spectacular at around 100 feet tall. They should be reached with a guide as they are hidden in the surrounding woodland. If you want to get your heart rate up, go swimming or have a picnic in the pools below the falls. If you want to go rappelling or rock climbing, such activities are also accessible. Never leave home without your binoculars if you enjoy viewing birds.

Hopkins is the closest city and takes the longest to reach by automobile (20 minutes). However, in addition to Hopkins, trips are also available from Placencia and Dangriga. The park's entrance is around 4-and-a-half kilometers from the Southern Highway. It is a short stroll of around 1-1/4 miles from the tourist center to the nearby Bocawina and Three Sisters Falls on the Bocawina Falls route. Due to some steep areas that can become treacherous after rain, the 1.3/4-mile Antelope Falls path is a little more challenging than other trails. The modest visitor center has trail maps for sale. So far, little excavation has been conducted at the Mayan sites, but the park-like setting at the base of the Maya Mountains is beautiful.

If you’ve ever imagined a perfect Hollywood setting of thundering water cascading into a clear pool of water ringed by lush foliage, then you’re imagining the unbelievable reality that is Butterfly Falls. Butterfly Falls is a shimmering cascade of natural beauty that is hidden from the general public and actually resembles a piece of tropical paradise. Butterfly Falls is a magnificent cascade located on the private property of Hidden Valley Inn in the Maya Mountains, and it is tucked away in a 2,915-hectare (7,200-acre) private forest reserve. The falls, which are among Belize's most beautiful, is only accessible to hotel guests.

It takes three hours to hike into the forest from the lobby, but for simpler access, drive to the Butterfly Falls parking area and take an easy 30-minute hike through the jungle to the waterfall, which is renowned for its 80-foot high waterfall plunge into a stunning pool that draws massive clouds of vibrant butterflies. The emerald green pool's water is in stark contrast to the nearby rock wall and luxuriant forest. It's a magnificent hidden gem, and you almost certainly won't see anyone else there. This is the spot to do it if you want to get lost in paradise.

Tiger Fern Waterfall is an amazing double waterfall that plunges into a sizable pool at its foot. It is situated in the center of the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, also referred to as the "Jaguar Preserve." The two kilometers through the rainforest are steep and difficult, but the reward will be worth it.

In addition to the breathtaking Tiger Fern Waterfall, the region is teeming with wildlife, such as four different wild cat species, tapirs, kinkajous, armadillos, red-eyed tree frogs, howler monkeys, and hundreds of other bird species. And though you probably won’t spot large cats roaming during the day, it’s still a thrill to see their prints and other evidence of them – and to know that even if you don’t see one, you may be seen by one as you pass through.

Rich tropical jungle, expansive mountain vistas, spectacular double waterfalls with natural swimming pools—the walk to Tiger Fern Falls has it all. You also have a great chance of having the route to yourself since it is not a trail that sees a lot of traffic.

Rio Blanco Waterfall is situated in the Toledo sector of southern Belize, ten kilometers (six miles) from the settlement of San Antonio. To access the falls, which are encircled by a 200-hectare (500 acres) protected reserve, tourists must travel for about a kilometer and a half (about a mile) up a rocky trail before ascending a flight of stone stairs. At just about 20 feet, the falls make up for in beauty what they lack in size.

Before flowing over a 20-foot cliff and into a deep pool, the waterfalls drop gently through vast, shallow pools and over smooth slabs of rock. Visitors with a sense of adventure can climb to the top of the falls and dive off a ledge into the plunge pool below.

For a view of one of the area's biggest waterfalls, take a quick stroll to Rio Blanco waterfall. Once there, cool off by swimming in the deep limestone pool to get a better look at the water. It's a fantastic way to see and swim in a breathtaking environment.

Billy Barquedier Falls is conveniently situated in the country's well-known Stann Creek area, making it a perfect place to visit on a simple day trip. Billy Barquedier Falls is located in a national park with the same name. The waterfall serves as both the park's main draw for visitors and the primary source of water for the three nearby communities. Be careful since the terrain can be challenging in some places, such as over slick stones and up muddy embankments. The small falls are an excellent site for a refreshing dip because the pool below them appears to come from a dark hole in the bush.

The water is crystal clear, icy, and very cooling. Although there is a sign asking people not to jump, you can jump from the cliff on this side into the deep pool below the falls even if there is a dining area to one side.

The park is accessible through the Hummingbird Highway and contains a grass parking area, a ranger station, and restrooms. Along with several hiking trails, the waterfall has a brand-new picnic area. You may work up a good sweat by hiking the trek to the observation tower before taking a cooling swim in the creek.

The serene San Antonio waterfall and pool are just a few yards off the roadside and are about a mile from San Antonio Village. An 8-foot waterfall flows gently over a smooth, pear-shaped limestone rock that is coated with vibrant green moss. The entire pool is surrounded by riverine flora. The pool below and the falls above are both accessible due to the size of the boulders.

A higher cove with a smooth limestone floor is surrounded by dense vegetation above the waterfall. The cove's water is barely a half-foot deep, making exploration simple. On flat, dry stones close to the water, the shaded areas of the trees offer a cool place to have a picnic. On a hot day, taking a cool plunge in the pool is soothing.

They can easily wade across the shallow, clear water of the pool to look at some of the aquatic life inside if it hasn't rained recently. This is the ideal location for a dip to wash off perspiration and dirt. The falls are an excellent place to stop, even for a short while, and are only a short distance from the road leading out of town.
