Christopher Robin (2018)
Christopher Robin is a 2018 American live-action/animated fantasy comedy-drama film directed by Marc Forster and written by Alex Ross Perry, Tom McCarthy, and Allison Schroeder based on Greg Brooker and Mark Steven Johnson's tale. The film is a live-action/CGI sequel to the Disney franchise of the same name and is inspired by A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard's Winnie-the-Pooh children's novels.
In the Hundred Acre Wood, a middle-aged Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) is far from his salad days. The family man, now a CEO of a successful luggage firm in London, has the shock of his life when his old companion, Pooh Bear (voiced by Jim Cummings), appears from a magical door. Pooh and Christopher go to a fanciful land in search of their missing comrades, where friendship is paramount and childhood fantasies are forever cherished. Don't let the sorrow fool you – there's plenty of heart to be found here, even if it is a little drab by Disney standards.
