The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a 2005 fantasy film co-written and directed by Andrew Adamson, based on C. S. Lewis's 1950 novel The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, the first published and second chronological novel in C. S. Lewis's children's epic fantasy series, The Chronicles of Narnia.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a grandiose contemporary recreation of C.S. Lewis' renowned Narnia stories. During WWII, Lucy Pevensie (Georgie Henley) and her three siblings discover an enchanted wardrobe that serves as a doorway to a magical world under the control of the White Witch (Tilda Swinton). Although the talking creatures of this planet are terrified by the Witch, they realize that the children may signal the return of Aslan (Liam Neeson), the giant lion that established Narnia eons ago.
