Namibia’s mighty dunes and rolling deserts often take center stage, but there are other types of awesome landscapes in the Land of the Brave. This article will ... read more...

  1. Brukkaros Mountain is situated in ǁKaras Region, Namibia. Measuring 1,590 metres at its peak, Brukkaros is located about 15 kilometres northeast of the primarily Nama town of Berseba. It towers over 600 meters above the surrounding region. This mountain looks like a volcanic crater, but it was in fact formed by an upwelling of magma millions of years ago. This kind of formation is called a caldera, and it is why the mountain has the distinctive shape we see today.

This mountain stands out in the plains of Namibia's Karas Region at 1,590 meters above sea level, yet it is often overlooked in guidebooks and tour planners, thus it is not well-known. As a result, this mountain will be very deserted, so please be aware that you will need to arrive well prepared. Once you reach the top of the mountain, there is no flowing water, no fuel, and no places to stock up on food. If you run out of supplies, then your only option is to stock up at the town of Berseba, 12km away.

  2. The Moltkeblick Mountains Concession is located in Namibia's central area, close to Windhoek, the country's capital. Moltkeblick, commonly known as Mount Auas, is Namibia's second-highest mountain, behind Brandberg. It is the highest peak in the Khomas Region, standing at 2,479 meters. Moltkeblick is nestled southeast of Windhoek, in the Auas mountain range. The mountain is made up of various-sized boulders and rocky outcrops that provide habitat for endangered birds and reptiles. During the location tour, an abundance of reptiles and birds were noticed, indicating that this is a superb excellent trophy hunting zone.

The fundamental aims of this nature estate are privacy, open spaces, blending development into the environment, protection of the fauna and flora, and a pleasant country ambiance. Moltkeblick is a beautiful and majestic mountain that you should not miss!

  3. The Brandberg, Namibia's highest mountain, is located northwest of the small town of Uis and stands out as an imposing feature amid the generally flat gravel plains of the middle Namibia Desert. The name Brandberg comes from the blazing colors that the setting sun paints on the mountain range, almost as if it were on fire. The mountain range has a mean elevation of 2500 meters and surmounts its surroundings by 2000 meters. Königstein, its highest peak (and the country’s highest point), reaches a height of more than 2573 meters.

Brandberg is well-known for its prehistoric rock art, which includes sculptures and paintings. One of them, dubbed the White Lady, is particularly well-known. The region is also noted for its diverse biodiversity and endemic species. Large tin reserves have been discovered in the nearby town of Uis, which is around 30 kilometers away and has various overnight facilities.
