  1. The first one in Top 5 Highest Mountains in Ethiopia that Toplist would like to introduce to you is Ras Dashen. Dashen, also known as Ras Dejen, is Ethiopia's highest peak and the fourteenth highest peak in Africa. It is located in the Simien Mountains National Park in the Amhara Region and has a height of 4,550 meters (14,930 ft).

The English name "Ras Dashen" is a corruption of the Amharic name "Ras Dejen," which refers to the traditional head or general who fights in front of the Emperor and is used by the Ethiopian Mapping Authority (EMA).

Ras Dashen is the eastern peak of the rim of "an enormous volcano, the northern half of which is cut down about thousand metres by numerous ravines draining into the Takkazzi River," according to Erik Nilsson. Mount Biuat (4,510 meters) is its western counterpart, separated by the Meshaha river valley. The mountain frequently experiences violent snowfalls at night, but because day and night temperatures vary greatly, the snow is almost completely melted in a few hours (during the hottest period of the year), as the temperature can reach 5 degrees Celsius by midday. Snow falls rarely in winter because the majority of Ethiopia's yearly rainfall falls in the summer, but when it does, it usually lasts for weeks or months.

The French officers Ferret and Galinier made the first recorded ascent by a Eurasian in 1841. There is no verifiable evidence of previous ascents by locals, but the summit climate and conditions are relatively hospitable, and high altitude pastoral settlements are nearby. At around 4,300 metres SRTM data, a small fort is still partially standing.

The second one in Top 5 Highest Mountains in Ethiopia that Toplist would like to introduce to you is Ancua. Mount Ancua is also referred to as Ankwa or Weynobar. The mountain is located 4462 meters above sea level. Mount Ancua is also a part of the Simien Mountains ranges in northern Ethiopia. The Simien Mountains (also spelled Simen and Semien) are part of the Ethiopian Highlands and are located in northern Ethiopia, north east of Gondar in the Amhara region. They are designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and include the Simien Mountains National Park- the largest national park in Ethiopia. The mountains are made up of plateaus separated by valleys that rise to pinnacles. The highest Ethiopian mountain is Ras Dejen (4,550 m), with Kidis Yared (4,453 m) as the second highest; other notable peaks include Mount Biuat (4,437 m).

The mountain ranges are a popular destination for birdwatchers, wildlife enthusiasts, and nature lovers.

It is located within the Simien mountain ranges. The Simien Mountains (also spelled Simen and Semien) are located in northern Ethiopia, north east of Gondar in the Amhara region, and are part of the Ethiopian Highlands. They are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and include the Simien Mountains National Park- the largest national park in Ethiopia. The mountains are made up of plateaus separated by valleys and rising to pinnacles. 4. The fourth one in Top 5 Highest Mountains in Ethiopia that Toplist would like to introduce to you is Tullu Dimtu. Tullu Dimtu is Ethiopia's fourth highest peak, following Ras Dashen (4550m), Ancua (4462m), and Kidus Yared (4453m). Tullu Dimtu is located within the Bale Mountains National Park on the Sanetti Plateau in the Oromia Region of southeast Ethiopia. It is part of the divide between the Weyib and Shebelle River drainage basins. A rough gravel road, Africa's third highest, leads to the summit of Tullu Dimtu.

Mount Tullu Dimtu has a height of 4377 meters above sea level. The mountain can be found in South Eastern Ethiopia's Bale National Park. The mountain is home to a wide range of animal and plant species. Rodents account for one-third of the mountain's mammal population. The Giant mole-rat is a one-of-a-kind species in the area. The rodent serves as prey for the Ethiopian wolf, which can also be found in the mountain. Over 280 bird species can be found on the mountain. The area is also home to antelope species such as Menelik's bushbuck and mountain nyala. Human activity is endangering Mount Tully Dimtu's natural resources. The mountain vegetation has been depleted as a result of farming and grazing.

  5. The fifth one in Top 5 Highest Mountains in Ethiopia that Toplist would like to introduce to you is Abune Yosef. Abuna Yosef is a prominent Ethiopian Highlands mountain in the Lasta massif. It is the fifth tallest mountain in Ethiopia and the 19th highest in Africa, standing at 4,260 meters (13,976 feet). It is situated in the Amhara Region's Semien Wollo Zone. Ethiopian wolves, Gelada baboons, Erica arborea, Lobelia, and other afro-alpine vegetation can be found in the Abuna Yosef massif. The Abuna Yosef Community Conservation Area encompasses approximately 70 square kilometers of the Abuna Yosef massif.

The town of Wandatch (on the Kobo-Lalibela road) is the main entry point to the Abuna Yosef afro-alpine massif in the mountain range's eastern part. It is one of Ethiopia's highest towns, at 3500 meters above sea level. The towns of Muja, Kulmesq, and Lalibela are located on the massif's foothills.

The Church of Gennete Maryam, a monolithic church excavated during the reign of Yekuno Amlak, is a notable landmark on this mountain. There are also four free-standing churches built inside caves in the mountain, the oldest and most famous of which is Yemrehana Krestos Church, built by the same-named Zagwe king. Emakina Medhane Alem (probably built by Yekuno Amlak in the late 13th century), Lidetta Maryam, and Zammadu Maryam are the other three (probably 15th century). Lalibela's churches are located in its foothills.
