  2. One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Armenia is Jermuk Waterfall. The waterfall is located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. Jermuk Waterfall, which is 70 meters high, is regarded as Armenia's second-highest waterfall. Regarding the waterfall's beginnings, there is an intriguing legend. There there was a nobleman who constructed a castle on the rocks above the gorge. Bridegrooms from all over the world wanted to wed the nobleman's daughter because she was so stunning. Her affections, however, belonged to the shepherd's son.

Every night, the girl would throw a rope into the gorge, and her lover would climb it to reach his love through the window. The girl transformed into a mermaid at night and tossed the braid in place of the rope, turning her hair into a waterfall in the process. Since then, the waterfall has been referred to as "the mermaid's hair".

The Jermuk Waterfall is a rare occurrence. Its waters are frigid even on the hottest summer days. Additionally, the most well-known mineral water, Jermuk, is made with water from the Jermuk waterfall.

  3. Shaki waterfall is regarded as one of Armenia's most famous waterfalls. The Syunik region, known for its historical and ecological landmarks, is where it is situated.

The waterfall is created on the Shaki River by the inflow of Vorotan, which plunges from a height of 18 meters into a narrow valley. Shaki waterfall has a considerable capacity despite its diminutive height, and the thundering of the water can be heard from a distance.

The Shaki waterfall is the subject of a legend. The plot centers on the stunning girl Shake, who jumped off a cliff after defying the conquerors' orders. The girl's clothing split open in the wind as she fell, turning it into a cascade. The waterfall was given the name Shaki in Shake's honor.

Ancient civilizations that lived in the Shaki waterfall region left their mark in caves and rock crevices. Although there is a winding road that leads to the waterfall, you must get out of your car and walk a little distance to reach it.

  4. Trchkan Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Armenia and has the tallest vertical drop at a height of 75 feet.

On the Chichkhan River, at the border of the Shirak and Lori provinces, is the 23-meter-tall Trchkan Waterfall. The Chichkhan River is literally teeming with trout, and the terrain is home to numerous uncommon species of animals and plants, many of which are recognized in the Red Book. Trout, who are swimming to spawn, are responsible for the waterfall's name, "Trchkan," since they leap out of the water above the cascade.

  8. Up in the Kotayk highlands, close to Megrhradzor hamlet, comes the Meghradzor waterfall. Many hikers choose this location as a rest point where they can have a picnic by the waterfall or just unwind. Meghradzor Waterfall is situated nearby to Papak Mount 2448m and Mokhrasar.

The waterfall is more well-known among locals than tourists because few people are aware of it, and getting there by car is difficult in and of itself because you almost certainly require an off-road vehicle.

Although this waterfall is a little beyond the settlement, it is close to a lovely hiking trail that will take you to the mountains (and to several waterfalls, not just one). There are multiple waterfalls in the Meghradzor Waterfall, and at the bottom, there is a small pool where you can cool yourself. Off-road vehicles can be used to travel to the waterfall, however, it is preferable to walk there. Just make sure to put on appropriate hiking or walking shoes.
