In 2014, Spotykach abandoned its retro-Soviet motif in favor of a Ukrainian revolutionary one, with images of Taras Shevchenko and Bohdan Khelmytsky (as well as Che Guevara) replacing Lenin. They make unique versions of Ukrainian staples like yellow-and-blue varenyky (the ultimate nationalist expression) and borshch popsicles.
Spotykach is a vodka-based liquor with a variety of flavors ranging from blackcurrant to horseradish. Its name comes from the Russian word'stumble,' which refers to the effect it may have on the uninformed.Address: vul Volodymyrska 16

Get away from the bustling uzviz and into this lovely ancient wooden cottage with sliding-glass doors that view out onto a green valley. Kanapa delivers modern cuisine that is mostly sourced from its own farm. It's not traditional: green borscht is made with nettles, while chicken Kiev is made with pheasant rather than chicken. Other specialties include Ukrainian mussels, caviar, and pâté.
A good spot to go for a cheap and unique breakfast (10am to noon). Kanapka, a sister cafe across the street, specializes in lighter fare and wine.Address: Andriyivsky uzviz 19A

Odesa foodies, once an itinerant tribe that congregated here and there for sporadic jamborees, now have a very opulent indoor stronghold. The two-story structure is separated into shops, each with its own kitchen specialized to a certain food, such as Vietnamese pho soup and Greek pita gyros, as well as grilled ribs and oysters.
Vegans are not forgotten, as there is a specialist shop named Vegan Hooligano, as well as another that specializes in hummus. Live concerts and film screenings are frequently held at the venue.

Musafir, one of Bakhchysaray's greatest restaurants, moved to Kyiv in May of 2015. The aroma of Crimean cooking wafts from the kazan's kitchen, where a plov (pilaf) maestro makes a magical stew (traditional wrought-iron bowl). They create great yantyk (pie-like pastry) and Turkish coffee, in addition to the traditional Tatar cuisine.
The latter comes with sugar lumps that are supposed to go straight into your mouth rather than into your cup.Address: vul Saksahanskoho 57

Mussels, like aubergine 'caviar,' are as much a part of Odesa's culinary culture as aubergine 'caviar' (cold vegetable stew). Kotelok is all about Black Sea mussels served with a variety of dips, including the famously local combo of paprika and brynza goat's cheese. It's set up like a bar, with a row of seats facing an open kitchen. Along with forshmak, a non-maritime 'caviar' is included in the list of delectable appetizers (minced herring).
Fresh and only Black Sea mussels (no room in their kitchen for frozen shells from elsewhere) and other local seafood like as rapana, tyulechka, and fresh fish catch available in season.
Their main course is Belgian in origin. "Moules Frites" is a dish of mussels in a variety of sauces served with crispy french fries and toasted bread. They have around a dozen different beers for the pot, including Belgian and handmade Ukrainian beers.Address; vul Sadova 17

During the summer, tables and chairs spill out onto the front plaza, making it the ideal spot for a beer on a hot summer evening. There's also a second menu with cheaper Ukrainian food and burgers.
