The highest point in Uganda is Stanley, which stands at 16,762 feet (5,109 meters) above sea level. Mount Stanley is Africa's third tallest mountain, after Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Kenya. In southwestern Uganda, the mountain is part of the Ruwenzori mountain range. Sir Henry Morton Stanley, an explorer, gave it his name. The top of the mountain is covered in snow, and the climate in the area is alpine. For the majority of the year, Mount Stanley receives a lot of rain, especially on its eastern side. The vegetation on the mountain is diverse and varies with altitude. Within 1,800 to 2,400 meters above sea level, dense mountain forests can be found.

The bamboo zone appears between 2,400 and 3,000 meters as you climb higher. At altitudes of 3,000 to 3,800 meters, heather plants, lichens, flowering shrubs, and giant lobelias thrive. Giant rosette plants and lichens can be found on the Alpine summit. The moon-striped mouse, horseshoe bat, otter shrew, and Ruwenzori turaco are among the rare and endangered animals that live on Mt. Stanley's slopes. The mountain is located within the Ruwenzori National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The upper Bujuku valley is encircled by a triangle formed by Mount Speke, Mt. Stanley, and Mt. Baker. Because the mountain receives heavy rainfall for the majority of the year, many rivers and streams run through the area.

The mountain's slopes are covered in dense vegetation. Leopards, antelopes, elephants, and chimpanzees are among the animals that live on the mountain. For some local communities, Mount Speke is a sacred mountain because they believe God lives at the summit. Mount Speke is crisscrossed by many rivers and streams due to the high amount of rainfall it receives. The vegetation is usually quite dense.

Mount Kiyanja, also known as Mount Baker, is Uganda's third-highest mountain, standing at 15,892 feet above sea level (4,844 meters). The Ruwenzori mountain ranges surround it. It is located in a region known as 'The Mountains of the Moon'. Samuel Baker, a 19th-century British explorer, was the inspiration for the mountain's name. Mount Kiyanja (Mount Baker) is Africa's sixth highest mountain, located on the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mount Baker, like all the peaks in the Ruwenzori Range, has a ridge with multiple jagged peaks. Edward Peak is the highest point.

Visitors can enjoy scenic views of Mount Kiyanja, which has snow cover, lush forests, and deep valleys. Climbers are guided up the mountain by locals.

Mount Gessi is the fourth name on the list of the highest mountains in Uganda that Toplist has compiled for you. Mount Gessi, at 15,469 feet (4,715 meters), is the highest peak in the area. It is the country's fourth highest peak. The Rwenzori range is made up of six mountains, including Mount Gessi. Mount Gessi is located north of the triangle formed by Mt. Stanley, Mt. Speke, and Mt. Baker, on the Uganda-Democratic Republic of the Congo border. Lolanda and Bottego are the twin peaks of the mountain. Local communities live in shanties strewn across the mountain's slopes.

The mountain has a rocky landscape and excellent climbing trails. Blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, and bushbucks are among the unique creatures that call the mountain home. At the bottom of the mountain, grasslands and shrublands abound. Because the mountain is located within a protected area, the park's vegetation and animals are protected.
